About Woodside Plantation Country Club
Looking for golf homes on Woodside Plantation Country Club? Discover golf properties located in or near golf course communities in Aiken, South Carolina. From luxury estates overlooking the greens to comfortable homes within golf communities, there are options to fit a variety of lifestyles and budgets.
Private and gated with nearly 3,000 acres and 72 holes of golf by noted architects, the 35-year-old Woodside Plantation is the big kahuna of golf communities in Aiken, SC. Big enough to use four gates and, unlike most golf communities, home to two separate private golf clubs, Woodside’s size has no effect on the quality of the community. And Woodside residents are proud to boast that their golf community is close to high-quality medical services and plenty of shopping, including a mall just outside the back gate that features not only retail and grocery shopping but also a wellness and medical center.
Real estate in Woodside is on the diverse end of the scale, with a well-organized mix of townhomes and single-family dwellings adjacent to both the Woodside Plantation Country Club and the Reserve at Woodside club. Together, the two clubs – they have separate memberships – offer more than a dozen tennis courts (Har-Tru and clay); four lakes for fishing and non-motor boating; a plot of land for residents to plant and grow their own vegetables; and more than ample dining in the two clubs’ restaurants. Aiken is also horse country, and an equestrian center is located just outside one of the golf community’s four gates.
The golf is as good as it gets. Woodside Country Club’s 36 holes are the result of the separate but complimentary efforts of Rees Jones and Bob Cupp. The Reserve at Woodside Country Club offers another 36 holes; the Reserve course was designed by Nicklaus Design Group, and the Hollow Creek course is the product of noted Carolinas architect Clyde Johnston, with input from former PGA tour player Fuzzy Zoeller. For those whose dream is to build their own homes, Woodside’s size ensures a constant supply of choice lots. And for those who are looking for an existing home that closely (or exactly) matches their requirements, Woodside always provides a solid range of options. In short, Woodside comes as close as a golf community can to offering something for everyone, especially golfers.
